After last year\u2019s great success, the appointment with the Milanese kermesse dedicated to wines and spirits returns and will be held from May 18 to 2024 at Palazzo del Ghiaccio.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Big news and many reconfirmations await at the next edition of Best Wine Stars, the event dedicated to the food and wine and spirits sector. For the third year in a row, it will take place at Palazzo del Ghiaccio<\/strong>, the Milanese Art Nouveau building that, for three days, will host over 200 selected companies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Organized by Prodes Italia srl<\/strong>, Best Wine Stars is an annual project<\/strong> that aims to celebrate and promote the culture of wine and spirits. This is achieved through the narrative of each individual product and company, presented to the general public and all those involved in the sector during numerous engaging moments of in-depth analysis.<\/p>\n

Pillars of the event are the masterclasses<\/strong>, organized in collaboration with sommelier and wine writer Adua Villa<\/strong>, flanked by a team of outstanding speakers like Valentina Vercelli<\/strong>, professional journalist who writes for La Cucina Italiana, Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveller, Slowine and Civilt\u00e0 del Bere, Stefania Vinciguerra<\/strong>, Chief Editor of DoctorWine and the speaker and winemaker of Radio Deejay, Francesco Quarna<\/strong>, will once again be a must-attend<\/strong> for this edition. They will involve various companies, covering different topics of interest to the sector. Fontana Reale, Tenuta Sant\u2019Antonio \u2013 Castagnedi Family, Colle Mora, Cantina Nuovi Poderi, Beccio, and Viotti \u2013 SNC<\/strong>, as well as Il Poggiarello<\/strong>, are among the companies that will present their production realities during these sessions.<\/p>\n

Also renewed is the presence of the Tasting Rooms<\/strong> which , through guided tastings, will unveil the various nuances of distillates, starting with raw materials and exploring different production techniques.<\/p>\n

Finally, interspersed with the various tastings, a special program of lectures<\/strong> and talks<\/strong> on the most current issues will give distinguished industry proagonists, such as consortia, companies and institutes, the opportunity to present their innovative projects.<\/p>\n

Once again this year, the parterre spanning over 2,400 square meters will be divided into various thematic areas. The Italian Wine Area<\/strong> will showcase all the gems from our territory, while the International Wine Area<\/strong> invites exploration of products from foreign companies. The Spirits Area<\/strong> offers a special selection of spirits, always highly appreciated by consumers. The Food Area<\/strong> complements tastings with selected gastronomic excellence, and the Organic Area <\/strong>is entirely dedicated to those aiming for high quality with low environmental impact, a theme increasingly appreciated by the event\u2019s annual visitors.<\/p>\n

Following the excellent feedback obtained in the previous edition, the Business Dinners<\/strong> will once again bring member companies and their products to the center of Milan, creating a unique moment of discussion and dialogue within the exclusivity of the Milanese scene. The new format, which debuted last year inside the elegant and cozy lounge SIX Milano<\/strong>, provides an excellent opportunity to present and share with selected journalists and industry insiders the excellence of each company. This is done by pairing them with dishes specially designed for each label.<\/p>\n

Brand new for this edition is the BWS Village<\/strong>, an elegant<\/strong> and comfortable space<\/strong> that will welcome industry insiders<\/strong> and journalists<\/strong> throughout Monday. Positioned on the Balcony of Palazzo Del Ghiaccio, the Village provides an excellent opportunity for visibility and networking. On display will be the labels of the companies present in the parterre. The Village serves as the final stage of the wine tour<\/strong>, where the stories of the wineries and the unique qualities of different wines are discovered. These wines, presented as gifts, leave a lasting souvenir for buyers and journalists, capturing the essence of what they experienced during their visit.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, May 19, the Best Wine Stars Awards<\/strong> Ceremony will take place, revealing the winners across various categories: Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Ros\u00e9 Wine, Best Spirit, Best Herbal Liqueur, Best Logo, <\/strong>and Best Label<\/strong>. In particular, the Best Spirit and Best Herbal Liqueur awards will be assigned by Fabio Bacchi<\/strong>, founder of the renowed magazine BarTales<\/strong>. Noteworthy prizes will be awarded to the winners in the categories of Best Sparkling Wine, Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Ros\u00e9 Wine, Best Spirits, and Best Herbal Liqueurs. They will receive a 1,000-euro voucher for participation in Best Wine Stars 2025. Additionally, the wineries winning Best Logo and Best Label will have the opportunity to participate as Wine Sponsors in international events organized by Prodes Italia.<\/p>\n
